Overview

Maglin Site Furniture is a leading North American manufacturer of public site furniture. They understand that their products become part of the natural and built environment and this knowledge fuels their commitment to outstanding design and the use of recycled and durable materials. Maglin is proud to be the first North American site furniture manufacturer to supply Environmental Product Declarations for their products; EPDs are a tool that will help purchasers make more informed selections by better understanding a product’s sustainable qualities and environmental footprint.

Challenge

As part of their Sustainability Initiative, Maglin is committed to educating their staff on climate change so that everyone within the company can understand its potential impact on them as individuals and as a business. The challenge was to find an education tool to suit everyone.

Solution

Rewrite Sustainability 101 provided the perfect solution. It was rolled out initially to senior management and marketing personnel. The outcome of the initiative surpassed expectations.

“Sustainability 101 gave our staff a very good base level of understanding. It wasn’t too scientific or heavy and everyone found it very engaging. Furthermore, the training got them excited and interested in sustainability. Our people, who are the experts when it comes to our organization, were inspired to identify opportunities for improvement as well as solutions in areas like fuel efficiency and reduced energy consumption”.
